Revealed: Raffles hotel set to open on Dubai's Palm in 2021
AccorHotels signs management agreement with Nakheel to develop Raffles hotel and apartments on Palm Jumeirah

AccorHotels on Tuesday signed a management agreement with Dubai-based master developer Nakheel to develop a Raffles resort on Palm Jumeirah.

The agreement will lead to the opening of PALM360, a two tower development on the world famous island in Dubai comprising the Raffles The Palm Dubai Hotel and Raffles Residences PALM360.

Set to open in 2021, PALM 360 will be the first beachside resort for Raffles in Dubai and the tallest structure on Palm Jumeirah.

Its centrepiece will be a 155 metre long sky pool, connecting the towers 170 metres above the ground, a statement said.

The hotel component will offer 125 hotel rooms and suites, while the 359 branded residences – including 16 branded ..

Dubai Safari set to open 'in a few weeks'
Sprawling 119-hectare wildlife kingdom will be home to about 2,500 animals

Dubai Safari, home to the most diverse array of animals in the UAE, is set to open “in a few weeks” as finishing touches continue to be added to the city's latest tourist attraction.

Dubai Safari’s sprawling 119-hectare animal kingdom, which initially had planned to open on National Day, is now likely to open early next year.

Last month, safari chief Tim Husband told Arabian Business that the park was 90 percent completed.

Spread over 119 hectares, the wildlife park provides a safe and healthy environment for 2,500 animals representing more than 250 species native to the Middle East, Asia and Africa.

The park also aims to raise awareness about wildlife welfare and conservation through best practices and research.
